Thanks to Best Western Arroyo Roble Hotel in Uptown Sedona for a delightful two-day stay! As you know, an occasional perk to being a travel writer is the opportunity to indulge free of charge. This past week my family and I stayed at hotel for two days.

The only way out was forward through Salome Canyon, and in front of us lay an obstacle course of sheer drops, waterfalls, massive boulders and bottomless pools of icy water flowing from the mountains to the north.
